Casey Morell is an award-winning journalist whose work has been featured across NPR, the BBC World Service, Orlando Weekly, BBC Radio 4 and elsewhere.

A winner of the SPJ’s prestigious Sigma Delta Chi Award and of multiple regional RTDNA Edward R. Murrow Awards, Casey produces the daily NPR Politics Podcast, and is based in Washington, D.C.

Before joining NPR, he served as coordinating producer and newscast anchor at Nevada Public Radio in Las Vegas, where he worked on the station’s daily newsmagazine State of Nevada.

Additionally, he also served as executive producer of Global Journalist, a weekly public television and radio program based in Columbia, Mo., focusing on free press issues and international affairs.

A graduate of New College of Florida [BA ’12] and the University of Missouri School of Journalism [MA ’14], Casey is an avid soccer fan in search of the perfect affogato.
